This service allows you to save your time, since you no longer need to fill in and pay over utility bills or for other regular services received from providers. Therefore GEMB, jointly with JSC "Nacionalais maksajumu centrs" (National Payments Center), started to offer direct debit services.

It is a system under which you can charge the bank to automatically pay your bills, i.e. debit your current account or demand deposit account and transfer the funds in favour of the enterprise - the provider of services/goods, without the need to come to the bank.

To take advantage of direct debit service, you should fill in the bank's special form wherein you specify the number of your account to be debited. You can also fix a limit of payment amount. Full report will be produced and delivered to you to show the movement between accounts. Direct debit instruction can be cancel at any time under written notification sent to the bank.

Direct debit facility is of advantage for consumers and enterprises, since it accelerates the process of collection of payments. Every day complete information is summed up and delivered to the enterprise.
